Reminder service Prince Friso

Today friends and family remember  Prince Friso in a ceremony in  the Old Church in Delf. In this church Prins Friso married Princess Mabel in 2004. The service was attended by about 800 people. These were family members and people who have known Prince Friso and / or Princess Mabel. There also names who are well known  such as Desmund Tutu, Kofi Anan, the lead singer of U2 (Bono), Prime Minister Rutte, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Princess Martha Louise of Norway with her husband Ahri Bern.

During the service King Willem-Alexander speak about the wounds that the death of prince Friso has left
"The first autumn storm finished raging, the forests around Lage Vuursche where Friso is buried is peaceful again. Likewise with me the first storm of anger and impotence slowly pass. The wound begins to show  the first signs of healing, though I can not see how the scar will grow together with me "
Prince Constantine made ​​the link between Prince Friso and their father Prince Claus, Desmund Tutu prayed, Huub Oosterhuis said personal words , Lotte Crombag (daughter of the sister of Princess Mabel)  spoke also ,  but this is no video release from that and there were friends who spoke.  At the end of the service Princess Mabel spoke about her love for Prince Friso.

Funeral of prince Carlos Hugo

Satuday 28 August 2010 was the funeral of  Prince Carlos Hugo de Bourbon Parma, at the Steccata Basilica, Parma.

Besides the childeren from Carlos Hugo and Princess Irene with ther husbands - Carlos Xavier and husband Annemarie, Princess Margarita with husband Tjalling ten Cate, Prince Jaime and Princess Maria Carolina - Princess Irene ,  three sisters of Carlos Hugo, some members from Dutch Royal Family , HRH The Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg (a Prince de Bourbon Parma through his grandfather Prince Felix) , members of the Gotha attended the funeral to.

The late Duke is now interred in the crypt of the Steccata which falls under the auspicies of the Ordine dell Costantiniano di Giorgio from which the late Duke was Grandmaster. Duke Carlos Hugo is interred in the simple habit of a Benedictine monk.

Immediately after the funeral took place, the new Duke, Carlos Xavier, was inaugurated as Duke of Parma and from his youger brother Jaime gave the Collre dell Ordine Costatiniano.

After the inauguration Duke Carlos Xavier have a speech in fluent Italian, ending in warm personal words to his father in Spanish.

After this ceremony the family received the condolences of the hundreds of guests at the Steccata, followed by a reception at the Teatro Regio opposite the church. All children of the late Duke  chatted in Italian, Spanish, French, and/or  Dutch and changed from one into another fluently.

For Carlos jr-altest son of Carlos Hugo- and this wife Annemarie this day schould be his religious wedding day. The cicil wedding was at Juni , so oficial the are just married. The new date of the religious wedding isn't  published yet.

Máxima signs new contract financing microfinance
Princess Maxima was on August 24 at the Ministry of Economic Affairs in The Hague in the presence of Edwin van Veenhuizen (Bank of Dutch Municipalities), Hans van Noorda (ING Executive Board member), Paul Dirks (Director Business Rabobank) , Elwin Groeneveld (Qredits Foundation Director), Caroline Princen (Board Member ABN-AMRO) and Minister Maria van der Hoeven she sign a new agreement to to continue to fund micro-credit for entrepreneurs. Prince Willem Alexander visits Medical Battalion at  Ermelo
Crownprince Willem-Alexander visits 24th August the General Railway Barracks at Ermelo. First he attended a lesson in emergency at ‘Skillslab’ After that the prince spoke with doctors and trained soldiers from the battalion about their experiences before, during and after deployments.

On Wednesday, August 25 the Greek prince Nikolaos married with his fiancee Tatiana Blatnik.Prince Nikolaos is the son of former king Constantine II and queen Annemarie from Greece. Greece is no longer a kingdom  and this prince is not the eldest son, but there were many royal guests. For example Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima , Princess Victoria  Prince Daniel Prince Carl Philip Princess Madeleine of Sweden , Prince Hakon of Norway, Queen Sofia, Prince Philippe, Princess Letitzia, Princess Elena of Spain Princess Mary & Prince Frederik of Denmark. Tuesdayevening the guest are meeting each other at a cocktail party - organized by the parents of the groom- in Poseidonion Grace Hotel on the Greek island Spetses. Princess Laurentien opens Library Airport.
Princess Laurentien was  August 25 at Schiphol Airport for openening the Library Airport. The library is the first in the world at an airport. In the Airport Library the passengers can read (digital) books and listening to music. Also, travelers can download stories and poems. Click for pictures HERE

News from 18 August until 22 August.

Prince Carlos Hugo de bourbon de Parme died at Barcelona. 
Prince Carlos Hugo de Bourbon de Parme , the Duke of Parma and Piacenza,, died 18 August at 8.00am in a hospital at Barcelona, Spain, aged 80. He died of cancer. Carlos Hugo was the ex husband from Princess Irene of the Netherlands - the sister of queen Beatrix and the second daughter of Queen Juliana (1909 -2004) & Prince Bernard (1911 -2004)- with her Carlos Hugoo have four childeren: Carlos (1970) Margarita (1972) Jaime (1972) and Carolina (1972). He had one recognised granddaughter, Julia (2008), She is a douther from Margarita.
The remains of Carlos Hugo will be transfered to the "Koepel van Fagel" near Noordeinde Palace in The Hague, The Netherlands, on Friday. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands will pay for the costs of the flight by Dutch government airplane. Afterwards he will be taken to Parma, Italy, where he will be buried in the family vault at the Basilica Magistrale Constantiniana della Steccata. A memorial service will take place later on in Madrid, Spain.

Prince Willem Alexander , Princess Maxima and kids at SAIL 2010.
Prince Willem Alexander opened at 19 August the eighth edition from Sail Amsterdam with the Clipper. The prince loves sailing and water patron of the Foundation Sail Amsterdam.
At saterday 21 August Prince Willem Alexander was at Sail Amsterdam again. This time he bring his wife Princess Maxima and his kids with. And he speed around with the boat from his mother queen Beatrix , the green drogon.

At sunday 22 August Prince Willem Alxander was at Sail again. This time with his mother Queen Beatrix , his wife and his childeren.  With his mother and wife he decreasing the boat show.
